ABOUT
About Natasha Seawright, Registered Psychologist in Townsville
Inner Good is led by Natasha Seawright, a Registered Psychologist whose signature service is EMDR Intensive Blocks for adults. Individual Therapy is also available for teenagers and adults. She offers a steady space where your voice matters, your pace is respected, and the whole of who you are is held with care.
Natasha believes people's experiences, relationships and environments matter, and that many responses make sense in the context of what someone has lived through. Her work has a particular focus on EMDR, dissociation, attachment and developmental trauma, relational harm, and family, domestic and sexual assault.
Why Inner Good?
The name Inner Good reflects a belief that people are more than their difficulties, diagnoses or experiences.
Many responses that can feel confusing, frustrating or overwhelming can often be understood as ways the mind and body have learned to cope, adapt, protect and survive in the context of what has been lived through.
At Inner Good Psychology, we work from the belief that people make sense in the context of their experiences and relationships. Rather than asking “What is wrong with you?”, we are interested in understanding what has happened, how it has had an impact, what needs may be present, and the strengths, wisdom and resources that already exist within you.
The name also reflects a parts-informed understanding that different aspects of ourselves may hold different experiences, beliefs, emotions, needs, strengths or responsibilities. Developing greater awareness of these different aspects of ourselves can create opportunities for understanding, communication and connection. It may also help people reconnect with qualities that have become less accessible, such as creativity, curiosity, pleasure, self-compassion or a sense of possibility.
With curiosity, compassion and support, it may become possible to foster greater understanding, connection and integration, and move towards a preferred future.
Why EMDR Intensive Blocks
Natasha has completed EMDR Intensive Practitioner Training. This focused format supports adults who would like to work on one or two distressing memories, experiences or events over a condensed timeframe, with preparation and planning built into the process.
Whether an intensive may be helpful is considered collaboratively. Individual Therapy is also available for people who prefer a different pace, or who may use therapy before, after or alongside an intensive.
How Natasha works
Natasha's care is trauma-informed, paced and relational. She works in a way that is validating, non-pathologising and grounded in respect for your whole story, including the relationships, environments and systems that shape people's experiences.
Her approach makes space for what has happened, how it has had an impact, and the different aspects of you that may hold experiences, needs, strengths or responsibilities. Before becoming a psychologist, Natasha worked as an Exercise Physiologist, which continues to shape her appreciation for the connection between the mind, body and life experiences.

Professional supervision
Drawing on a professional career spanning 20 years, including work across exercise physiology, primary health, non-government and community organisations, schools, private practice and women’s services, Natasha offers external professional supervision for counsellors, case workers and mental health practitioners.
Supervision provides a reflective, collaborative and non-pathologising space to explore client work, professional challenges and the impact of the work on you as a practitioner. Areas of reflection may include trauma-informed and parts-informed practice, distressing experiences, dissociation, attachment and relational harm, and domestic and family violence and sexual assault.
Supervision is shaped around your role, experience, areas of focus and professional needs.
Values and ongoing learning
Natasha's approach is culturally sensitive and reflective. She is committed to ongoing learning, acknowledging her own privilege, truth-telling about colonisation, and working respectfully with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and people from culturally and linguistically diverse communities. She continues to learn from the wisdom, experiences and perspectives of the people she works with and considers it a privilege to be trusted with their stories. Her work is grounded in compassion, connection, wisdom, feminism and inclusion.
