Psychology Fees, Medicare Rebates & Funding
Inner Good Psychology offers Individual Therapy and EMDR Intensive Blocks. You may pay privately, claim a Medicare rebate if eligible, use private health insurance if covered, or receive approved third-party funding.
Medicare and private health rebates
Payment is required before your appointment. Where eligible, we can process your Medicare or private health insurance rebate following payment, so you do not need to submit the claim yourself.
Private health insurance
You may be able to claim through private health insurance for both Individual Therapy and EMDR Intensive appointments if psychology services are included in your level of cover. Please check with your insurer about waiting periods, annual limits and the rebate that may apply. Private health rebates cannot be guaranteed.
Individual Therapy
$250 Individual Therapy (50 minutes)
Payment is due on the day of your appointment. Where eligible, we can process your Medicare or private health insurance rebate following payment, so you do not need to submit the claim yourself.
Medicare
If you have a valid referral and meet Medicare eligibility requirements, you may be able to claim a Medicare rebate. A referral may come from a GP under a Mental Health Treatment Plan, a psychiatrist, or a paediatrician.
NDIS
Some services may be available to NDIS participants where the support relates to disability-related functional needs and is consistent with the participant's plan and funding arrangements. If you are self-managed or plan-managed and would like to discuss whether Individual Therapy may be suitable for your circumstances, please contact us.
*Medicare rebates, eligibility requirements and claiming arrangements are determined by Medicare and may change over time. Figures current as at October 2026.

How payment works
The Assessment & Planning Session is booked and paid for separately. After that session, you can decide whether you would like to proceed with an EMDR Intensive Block.
The $1,950 EMDR Intensive Block fee is due at least 7 days before the first intensive appointment.
The payment reserves all three 2-hour appointments.
If paying the full amount at once is difficult, a payment plan may be available by prior arrangement. Any agreed payment plan must be completed at least 7 days before the Intensive Block begins.
If you are eligible for Medicare, a rebate may be claimed after each eligible appointment is completed.
Medicare does not fund the Intensive Block as a single package.
NDIS
Some services may be available to NDIS participants where the support relates to disability-related functional needs and is consistent with the participant's plan and funding arrangements. If you are self-managed or plan-managed and would like to discuss whether an EMDR Intensive Block may be suitable for your circumstances, please contact us.
Some appointments within the EMDR Intensive pathway may be eligible for a Medicare rebate if you have a valid referral, meet Medicare eligibility requirements, and have Medicare-funded sessions available.
*This example assumes all three appointments are eligible and Medicare accepts each claim. Rebate amounts and eligibility requirements may change.
Third-party funding
Victim Assist Queensland may provide financial assistance for counselling related to psychological injuries or other impacts caused by violence, subject to eligibility, approval and funding requirements. Not all counselling costs are covered, so funding arrangements need to be confirmed before services begin.

Other third-party funding may be available through the National Redress Scheme, WorkCover Queensland, private health insurers or other approved funding organisations.
Before services begin, we may require written approval, funding details, an approval or claim number, confirmation of approved services and fees, and invoicing requirements.
A referral, application or claim number does not necessarily mean funding has been approved. Services funded by another organisation will begin only after funding arrangements or payment responsibility have been agreed in writing.
If funding is delayed, declined, exhausted or withdrawn, we will discuss the available options before further services are provided. You will only be responsible for an unpaid amount if it has been explained and agreed beforehand.
Reports and letters
$250 per hour, charged pro rata.
The anticipated fee will be confirmed before work begins. If the scope changes, an updated estimate will be discussed and agreed before further work is completed. Completed documents will not be released until payment has been received in full.
Cancellations and rescheduling
-
We understand that plans sometimes change. If you need to cancel or reschedule an Individual Therapy or Assessment & Planning Session, please provide at least 24 hours’ notice.
Appointments cancelled or rescheduled with less than 24 hours’ notice, or missed without notice, will incur 100% of the appointment fee.
-
EMDR Intensive Blocks involve reserving three 2-hour appointments over a condensed timeframe. The fee reflects the preparation involved and the clinical time reserved specifically for your Intensive Block.
· 7 days or more before the first intensive appointment: the $1,950 Intensive Block fee can be fully refunded or transferred to new agreed dates.
Less than 7 days before the first intensive appointment: a $500 cancellation or rescheduling fee applies. The remaining balance can be refunded or transferred to new agreed dates.
Once the Intensive Block has begun: the Intensive Block fee is non-refundable.
If illness or other unexpected circumstances affect your ability to attend one of the remaining appointments, please contact us as soon as possible. Where possible, we will work with you to reschedule the affected appointment within 14 days of its original date.
We understand that unexpected circumstances can arise. Exceptional circumstances will be considered individually.
